Women in Electrical and Computer Engineering (WECE) at the University of Florida was established in 2006 by a group of graduate students. The objective was to create a community within the ECE department where women could seek friendship, support, and advice regarding their academic, professional, and personal lives. Through the years, the organization began to reach out and engage a younger audience, now offering opportunities to UF students of any year or major.Learn More
At the first GBM, WECE will be talking about our goals for the semester, what we are planning to help you further your ambitions, what you can do for us, and events coming up. Following the general body meeting will be a social with Microsoft at 6 PM. Representatives will tell you about opportunities at Microsoft followed by a panel with former interns to share their experience at Microsoft and answer questions. They will also hand out swag and collect resumes. We highly encourage you to stay for both events. As always food and refreshments will be provided.Event Info
At this workshop, students will learn from Texas Instruments representatives about what companies like TI look for in a resume when reviewing potential candidates for internship and job opportunities, such as how to communicate their information concisely and professionally.Event Info
