Women in Electrical and Computer Engineering (WECE) at the University of Florida was established in 2006 by a group of graduate students. The objective was to create a community within the ECE department where women could seek friendship, support, and advice regarding their academic, professional, and personal lives. Through the years, the organization began to reach out and engage a younger audience, now offering opportunities to UF students of any year or major.Learn More

Join WECE for our last class at the Cade Museum this semester! We will be doing some throwback and teach our classic Makey Makey class in the Fab Lab. Makey Makeys are simple and fun keyboard emulators that can be used to teach kids about conductivity and circuits! This is a great opportunity to come out and get involved more with both WECE and the Cade Museum! P.S. Refreshments and coffee will be served, courtesy of the fabulous and lovely Patty Lipka, the Cade Museum Program Director.Event Info
Just because Career Showcase is over doesn't mean the networking stops! We will be having an informal lunch with the Intel recruiting team and their engineers! Come grab a bite and make those valuable connections! Also, to top everything off, you will be getting some sun as this event will be outdoors! And if it decides to get all Florida and rain, Larsen 234 will be our back up room to facilitate the mingling.Event Info
Three words: Food, professors and you!! What more can I say?? This is WECE's 4th annual Student-Professor Luncheon, sponsored by the beautiful scene of students connecting with professors, the great outdoors and hungry stomachs. This is a great chance for you to chill with your professors outside of the classroom, connect with other professors that you've only heard of but not seen and maybe even get to hear about their golden undergrad days! We will be serving delicious food from Mi Apa Latin Cafe.Event Info
